This process makes the new growth teak harder, and less likely to crack. This is a good thing, too, because the market for teak is growing exponentially every year, and with demand, there will be supply, one way or another. Thanks to this new process of kiln drying, the wood supplied to manufacturers to build teak outdoor furniture will be new growth, which can easily be re-grown, instead of old growth, with is a non renewable natural resource. Teak garden furniture is a beautiful addition to any garden. With teak garden furniture there is an extra layer of protection from both the elements and from wood eating insects. Teak is highly prized because it's natural oils repel the elements, and with an added layer of lacquer, for an impenetrable layer of preservative. Teak garden furniture is a good choice for this reason, and for many others, but teak garden furniture isn't the only application suitable for teak. Teak furniture for the inside of the house is also very valuable, especially if it is antique. It is easy to see why both inside teak furniture as well as teak garden furniture are desirable.
